I retired last Friday. My wife retired a few years ago due to some health issues and we moved to northern California, on the coast. We’ve been talking for some years about me retiring and us doing some traveling. Now it’s time to stop talking and start doing.
We both eat healthy, and that’s not easy to do when you are eating out of restaurants. Between the expense, the limitations of location and reservations, and the health aspects we agreed it would be better to travel like a turtle, bringing our home with us.
We wanted something small enough I could tow it easily with my Yukon Denali, bit enough that the two of us could be comfortable, and with some charm. I saw this Coastbilt on Craigslist, and travelled to Nevada to buy it. It’s 22 feet long. I’m not going to say what I paid. I probably overpaid, but it really is unique. It needs a HUGE amount of work, but I think I can do it and it sure will be interesting.
I put up a full set of pictures at http://www.edwinbrown.net/coastbilt_initial/.
The kitchen is generous by small trailer standards:
and there’s a living room/dining room. Well, at the moment it’s just an empty space, but it has possibilities.
